Alaskan black cod recipe

The great state of Alaska offers a myriad of natural wonders, and a visit to Alaska is a trip that you will remember for the rest of your life. Alaska is famous for its seafood, and it is indeed a fisherman’s paradise that provides a number of outstanding culinary delights. Today we will be passing along a recipe for preparing black cod in a lime-ginger sauce.

Ingredients:

1 lb. Alaska Black Cod fillet cut into fourths (with the skin on)

1/2 an unpeeled cucumber

1/4 cup vegetable oil

Half dozen garlic cloves

1 cup lime and ginger sauce for dipping

Dipping sauce:

1 tsp. chopped garlic

1 chopped serrano pepper

3 tbsp. sugar

3 tbsp. minced ginger

1/4 cup fish sauce

2 tbsp. lime juice

3 tbsp. water

Directions:
Pound the garlic, chiles, sugar and ginger into a paste. Transfer the paste to a the mixing bowl of your choice, add the rest of the sauce ingredients and mix well.

Slice the cucumber into long, very thin strips and add it to the dipping sauce.

Cook the Cod fillets in the oil and add the garlic cloves when the fish is about half done.

Serving: Arrange the fillets on a serving dish and top them with the strips of cucumber and sautéed garlic cloves.
