Bradshaw has words of wisdom for Roethlisberger

Terry Bradshaw has been a television pundit for a long time now, so he may seem to some to be a talking head who is not in touch with the inner workings of the game and its players. But in reality, Bradshaw is one of the greatest football players of all time, and he is without question a legend when it comes to the history of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bradshaw piloted the Steelers to four Super Bowl titles in five years in the 1970s, and he understandably feels a connection to the franchise.

Because of that link to Pittsburgh, Bradshaw has had advice for current Steeler quarterback Ben Roethlisberger over the years, starting with recommending that he stay off of his motorcycle a few years back. Ben didn’t like that, but he should have took Bradshaw’s advice because he subsequently got hurt in a motorcycle accident. Bradshaw says that Roethlisberger came to dislike him since then, but now the hall-of-famer has additional words of wisdom that Big Ben will undoubtedly ignore.

“But he’s got to be careful. Stay out — I don’t want to give him any advice, because he’s not going to pay attention to me. [...] He’s got an image problem right now. Best thing to do is don’t ever put yourself in that position again. When you’re through playing football, do whatever you want to do, but right now, stay clean. Stay out of trouble. Stay out of bars. Keep yourself clean,” said Bradshaw.

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and sexual assault allegations seem to have a way of finding Big Ben. I know it may be tough for a young single guy to stay out of the nightclubs, but, he is probably out of free passes at the moment and may want to consider Bradshaw’s advice this time.
