Compensation consultants under scrutiny

The “little people” aren’t told these things, so you have to dig a little bit, but man, what goes on “up in the heavens” is rather amazing. It seems that there is a gig out there where you are paid as much as six figures by executives at the biggest corporations to tell then how much they should be paid.

You can then ask them if you can do other work within their company at much higher pay. I wonder if you have a better shot at these other opportunities if you recommend really high pay for the executives?
