I left my heart…
It’s a very old tune, so at this point it is possible that most people can’t hear the once “familiar refrain” of the song “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” running though their head when they hear it mentioned, but it is safe to say that most people have heard the phrase. San Francisco is indeed an endearing city that has a lot to offer, and it is one of the most desirable travel destinations in the United States.
Whatever your interests many be, San Francisco can provide you with more than enough to keep you busy. One can take the buses and cable cars around town just to drink in all of the varied neighborhoods like North Beach, Chinatown, Nob Hill, Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, Haight Street, the Sunset District, the Castro, and others with no particular plan in mind and have a blast. Or you can plan to take in a concert, a show, a ballgame, stroll through a museum, or arrange your visit around a particular festival or annual event. And did I mention the food…?…the seafood is outrageous, the Chinese fare is out of this world, the Italian cuisine is marvelous, and the sourdough bread is to die for…and that is just the beginning.
The only bad thing about visiting this incredible American jewel is that you will invariably have to leave…but you can always plan a return visit, because after all, you have to follow your hea
