Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival

Kate Wolf was a singer and songwriter who passed away back in 1986 after a bout with leukemia, and her songs were recorded by many artists including Emmylou Harris, who got a Grammy nomination for her recording of the Wolf song “Love Still Remains” in 1999. She is remembered by an annual music festival in her honor, and this year’s Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival will take place on June 25th through June 27th at Black Oak Ranch, which is just outside of Laytonville in Northern California.

This year’s festival offers a tasty menu of diverse performers, and tickets are available through the festival’s website. If you like folk, blues, bluegrass, and New Orleans style rhythm and blues, you will have a good time at this year’s Kate Wolf Fest. Here are some of the performers, and it is an impressive lineup indeed for a laid back festival where you can camp out under the stars and enjoy some down home roots music.
