Lynyrd Skynryd Tour Dates

One thing about music that is really crucial to the long term success of a band is their ability to write good songs. This may sound like overstating the obvious, but in fact it’s not–a band can be a “one-hit wonder,” and how do they do it? It’s through that one song that strikes a chord with the public. A guy like Bob Dylan is not an incendiary, transcendent player on his instrument or a remarkably talented singer, but he has written a lot of good songs, and that is why he has remained relevant for so long. The songs transcend the performer, and they wind up belonging to the listeners.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is a band that has been around for a long, long time, and they do it because they have a number of really good songs that people still want to hear. Plus, let’s face it, they have a really cool name…who would think to name their band Lynyrd Skynryd? And they really rock out as well, so if you want to get your good old fashioned authentic southern rock on this summer, make some plans to go out and see Skynryd. The June tour dates are below.
