Stone Temple Pilots back on the road

The Stone Temple Pilots have been silent for the better part of a decade, but like the proverbial phoenix they seem to have risen from the ashes. Unlike the phoenix, mere rising is not the end-all in the music biz–people have to actually be interested in your revival if it is to become successful in a commercial sense. Time will tell if their new stuff captures the imagination of the public, but STP has put out their first record in nine years and they are hitting the road in March, kicking off their tour with an appearance at South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas on the 18th.
